Role and Responsibilities
Design, build, and modify the existing business-tier components using Power BI and SQL.
Conduct unit and system integration testing and fix issues.
Implement complex, highly scalable, and high-volume data pipelines.
Analyze the source, target system data, and map the transformation that meets the requirement.
Interact with the client and onsite coordinators during different phases of a project.
Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
Gather data from various disparate sources, which may include RDBMS, Web APIs, or any other customized system.
Organize large datasets to extract actionable insights. This may include finding innovative ways to integrate datasets.
Capture reporting requirements from various partners, architect the solution/report, understand/analyze the source data and deliver the reports in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience
Good knowledge of connecting multiple data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
Knowledge of Azure data lake, Data Factory, Power Apps is desirable.
Excellent analytical thinking to translate data into informative visuals and reports.
Extensive experience in M and DAX functions.
Strong expertise in crafting intuitive and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI for data-driven decisions.
Good understanding of application security layer models in Power BI and effectively implement row-level security on data.
Must have knowledge and skills for secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure and SQL, Oracle, and Tableau
Expertise in fundamentals of data preparation/data modeling necessary for visualization purposes.
Prior experience in performance monitoring, fine-tuning, and optimizing dashboards.
Thorough understanding of publishing and sharing dashboards, and scheduling data refreshes.
Must have strong Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts.
Ability to interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
Good understanding of Power BI user and group security configuration.
